Shades of Amoretto

Tick tock, tick tock, the raging wind howls

The nagging of it’s voice haunts to feast.

It screams and makes me feel like a foul

Hunted by the incognito beast.

I can’t escape this terrible being.

For I am the cause, I am the cause

The siren sirens through the meanings,

Resurrected by a simple clause.

This, a gift from a devious dove,

Who put a sign on it’s back called love.

Yet…

You were standing there so unaware.

Time flew by, but we didn’t notice.

We had no clue but we didn’t care

We were breaking the laws of solace.

This was more than just a revival

It was a genesis of what will

Become a hard fight for survival.

And now I know that you love me still

You will always be my everything

Actually, you’re my only thing

But…

Sometimes… I just don’t know what to do…

It seems like I hit my lows and highs

Because of the same person, for who

I’d do anything for, even die

Yet…

You were always there for me,

whether I was alone in a crowded room

Or just the two of us together

Because our flower, is just in bloom.

I.O.U: The Book of Kevin and My Apostles

Salutations my fellow scholar,

            I would like to congratulate you on your wondrous experiment. The entrepreneurial mind is one of many pleasures, is it not? I couldn’t help be reiterate your resolution, that no man is perfect. But, I’d like to ponder over how the Age of Reason may have helped you with the basis of your quest. The overall philosophy of this era in time is one of great magnitude, eventually a second coming of the renaissance. How could one simply stay still in a time of enlightenment? You, yourself, the poster child of this invigorating movement, should know this dearly.

            Deists rationales alike are re-creating the norm of many common culture beliefs. Instead of just reading about and confessing to the Lord, you initiate the self-inflicting justice of practicing what you are preached.  When I was in the process of my experiment, it didn’t exactly go without hindrance.  In fact, I often forgot my precepts, until that very same night when I logged my philosophical journeys that took place throughout my day. Of course, my mind happened to be on other things such as the amount of homework that I was given in many of my classes, which is not at all a complaint, but it is something that I myself need to get adjusted to. I have also figured out that I am more than just kind and insightful, but rather I am as followed: just, kind, and insightful, for being just is worth as much or more than kindness or insightfulness. This brings many promising rewards.

            Some benefits of this experiment would be to think about how you act towards others or even yourself. Another benefit would be to teach self-discipline.

            Somewhere down the road, I believe that I could reenact this experiment by reflecting what values I may have gained and lost throughout the time that I have lived since this experiment’s genesis.

            Furthermore, I would like to thank you for introducing this stupendous idea to me and my fellow classmates, for I am sure that we will all continue to reflect on our virtues time after time.

Dream Job?

 Every soldier in an army always has a dream of achieving a high rank such as Fleet Admiral, Warlord, etc… but, how that dream could somehow become reality, or how could it be fulfilled and then some… Being a leader, such a fun and easy job. Making ranks, being recognized for leading a huge army, having everyone talk to you and look up to you and even have some people from army’s that you don’t like hate you. The truth is, the light only shines on one side…

 The truth is far from the dream, being a leader isn’t an easy job. Yeah, your probably saying I know, I know, but you don’t. With today’s armies, the leader wouldn’t be considered the same as it was back then, with the founders running the backstage. As you may not see eye to eye with them. In some instances you might be taken off the site 5 times, because the leaders best friend gets mad at you for doing what your army wanted to get done. When you get the chance to stand up to your army founder’s best friend, you get punished…. You’re no longer trusted, you’re no longer given the ability to do what you want to do and why you ask? Cause when you aren’t on the site for an extended period of time, the army slows down, cause without a leader, there’s no order. No order collapses army’s, but hey, you’re still known as the leader of your army right, that‘s not all bad….

 Well, what happens when you’re troops give no respect? No matter how much you’ve done to earn it, you still don’t get any in return. Sure, many troops in fact most do give you that respect, but how do you keep going? How do you find away to handle these troops? The ones that were put ahead of you before you got there, before you worked your way up to their rank. How selfish in their desires to feel that they would assume to do better, when their fellow comrades voted you in instead of them. Those same troops who blackmailed and talked about you behind your back and you not saying anything to them when you find out, because you felt pity on them.

 Then, when you leave, the founder treats it as if nothing happened and you never even existed? With soldiers paying their respects and some only for the sake of trying to replace you! How afoul is that? Then, after the founder’s idea’s for a new way to lead fails, the same troops who once doubted you ask for your return? How could one ever return to the army where some troops once felt bitter just reading the words you were leader? Well, one must think of the countless times you’ve seen the words “I can do better”. The way a troop laughed and said they were “glad” that their leader was banned forever on your army’s chat.

 Remember when you retired, well you may or may not realize it, but you did the right thing. The high ranks who said they could do better are being given a chance to do that. They get to learn from their mistakes they made. So, remind me, how’s RPF doing?
